It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

What I'm looking for:
Everything! Wolves, foxes, fennec foxes, ferrets, servals, bobcats, tigers, other big cats, small cats, deers, dragons, gryphons, dogs, birds, hybrids, original species.. bring it!
I'm leaving the details to your imagination, but here are some things I really like:
-White base color with black and red markings<33 (mostly on canines)
-Cute and fluffy things! No need to go all big eyes and oversized heads, but animals with fur. Creepy and slimy things just aren't my thing.. Still don't be afraid to make something dark/evil
-Anything tribal
-Native american stuff
-Feathers!
-Tawny, golden, brown, white, red, blue, cyan, gray, black (well, not all combined)
-I like more natural base colors, but with smaller markings in unnatural colors like blue or red
-Long tails, big/long

The Echo chamber dilemmaThe promise of the Internet was that unlimited information and experiences would draw us together. But instead it seems to have driven us apart.
For years I've observed this behavior but haven't been able to vocalize it correctly. Originally I called the behavior of collective opinions as "the hive mentality" of the Internet. But that wasn't exactly right and I often got called out on it. The most prominent example was when I made a comic about a guy disagreeing with opinions and being shouted at till he remained quiet, eventually fading into the background with everyone else. The consensus of that comic was that if you disagree with someone you aren't bullied into not speaking, but instead are free to go someplace else where people who do agree with you exist. And you know what? That wasn't what i was trying to convey, but is sadly true. The Internet is not a hive mind. It's many tiny pocket echo chambers of mutual agreements.
And this is becoming a growing problem, I think, because n

Did you thought that by default the pen will it be like using butter on bread?, you try it for the first time and you love all of it, you said i have sooooooo much control on my strokes im having a blast. Then only to realize you only have total control of the brush but when you are moving it really slow?. But when you do quick strokes the pressure drops a lot of paint making you redraw tons of stuff?

Animal Advocacy Category

A new category, Animal Advocacy, has been created under Community Projects. The idea came to us from ~amandas-sketches and given her passion on the topic we asked her to write about the need for this category.

After 10 years, deviantART has created communities of artist's with over 50 different categories that fit each artists unique passion. With special communities dedicated to a broad group of artists, I found it hard for myself to find a category where I was passionate about: Animals. With there being as many communities as there were, I was a little bit bothered that there was no community for animal artists. For me, I like animals as just that, animals. They are beautiful and unique as this planet's natural inhabitant in their most natural environment (not including domesticated animals/pets). Of course, deviantART has an animal, plants and nature photography category but I draw animals traditionally and digitally. Where is the “animals” in general category? How can we have an anthro community with no community where anthro is highly based off a single subject? Yeah, it made no sense to me either, which is why I am trying to start a new community and have deviantART more involved with voicing matters that not only benefit animals and the environment but for the artist's as well.
