As I'm sure many members can appreciate, a piece of film takes a long time to produce. Weeks? Months? The production time is a real time sink.
This makes featuring art a little difficult because the volume of work that is being submitted obviously will not be to the same scale as some other galleries.
So what I propose to the community is, if you have a film or animation in progress and you want people to know, let me know and I'll interview you and your team about it!
We can feature some of your sketches, animatics, pencil tests and storyboards, anything that you think is a good visual aid! Everybody is fascinated by the process of making film and animation after all!
So perhaps questions could possibly include things like:
Are you a student or professional?
What techniques and software you like to use?
What challenges you are currently facing with your project?
What has inspired you?
What tips would you give to other film makers and animators who are just starting out?
If you're interested drop me a note and we'll see if it gets a good enough response to make it a regular feature! Hopefully we'll give a lot of you budding artists in the film and animation community more exposure!
